This event occurred on the 30th of November. It was an eventful day, I was working in the bio box all day that day, working with the audio and the visuals for the day. My class mates all worked either on the lighting or on backstage assisting the performers. I worked with Aimee Mursell and Annaliese Buttitta on the day. We adjusted the EQ throughout the days performances and controlled the visual productions on the screen that occurred. It turned out to be a successful and fun day.

Question 5:
When my group set up the mini disco in J3 I felt we did an excellent job. We all had our set jobs and worked well together. My main jobs were connecting the jacks from the AMP into the 2 speakers and turing the switch on from the back of the AMP. I didn’t see that we came across any difficulties as all went well and worked well. Some OH&S issues that we had to be mindful of were:
- Trip Hazards: so making sure all of the chords were out of the way so they could not be tripped over.
- Volume: making sure the master fader was set at zero before everything was turned on so the volume didn’t blast everyone’s ear drums.
I felt that my group worked very well all round as we communicated well and got the task done well.
My pa is still to be assessed.

My Role in The Musical:
As being a part of the year 11 Entertainment class of 2010, I had a role to play throughout the musical "Back To The 80's. The role in which I had to perform throughout the musical was to be working on the Audio and Visuals along side with Aimee Mursell and Katherine Espinosa. Which I believe that all three of us girls managed to make a great team and worked really well together in the BIO box. Our roles that were performed during the musical was to control the voice overs and sound effects that needed to be played throughout the show and also to control the visual backdrop slide show. We had to be on the ball at all times, we also had to read through the script as it was being performed on stage to assure that all prompts were made at the correct time, in the correct order. Throughout our job that we had to perform as a group built up our knowlege on how to work with the audio mixing unit (AMU) and how to work the Screening. We also learnt how to set up microphones and the audio machines which are kept inside the bio box.
